BRITISH CINEMA &TELEVISION VETERANS HAVE ANNOUNCED A LOWERING OF THE QUALIFYING PERIOD MEMBERSHIP

It is now possible to join the BCTV if you have worked in the cinema, film, or television industries for 25 years or more instead of 30 years as previously.  The Veterans is a UK wide association of men and women that was formed 100 years ago to ensure that long-serving members of our industries are recognised for their invaluable contribution.

The majority of our members are entitled to receive a cinema pass which will admit them and a guest - free of charge - to certain film performances (providing they satisfy additional criteria) and a much-valued full colour quarterly magazine which is bursting with news and information covering a wide range of topics.  They may also attend our brilliant events at subsidised prices.

President Council member LordPuttnam said:

“The UK has a world-class Film and TV industry and for this reason, I am a proud supporter of the BCTV an association of industry veterans. The lowering of the membership criteria from30 years to 25 years recognises the precarious nature of the sector, and I encourage anyone eligible to join”.

President Spencer MacDonald said:

“The change in membership criteria acknowledges the growing transformation of the industry and how working lives are becoming ever more insecure and unstable. Therefore, if you are or have worked in the industry for 25 years or more, we would be pleased to invite you to join”.
