Becoming a Member
To become a member of the Guild of British Camera Technicians you need to be an individual who is properly technically and craft trained with a good eye for the aesthetic.
There is a tough selection process based upon proven knowledge, experience and a demonstrated level of proficiency before any application is accepted.
You must be able to prove this through evidence and references.
4 professional references from existing Guild members.
3 professional references from existing Guild members + a Guild recognised workplace qualification.
3 professional references from existing Guild members + one reference from a BSC member.
Membership Criteria
In order to gain membership to the GBCT, you need to be a technician from Camera, Grip or Electrical department. The criteria is simple, you must be able to show at least 3 years experience in your current grade, and have the backing of other Members of the GBCT or BSC combined, have a recognised industry qualification or have been though a GBCT Trainee Scheme in the past.
