About the event

A two day interactive seminar and practically based workshops, available to all those interested in working as Script Supervisors.

Over the 2 days you’ll cover:

  • The role, function and responsibilities of a Script Supervisor during pre-production, production and post- production
  • What is involved in filming out of sequence;
  • Practical exercises in Observation; what to observe
  • Practical exercises in breaking down, marking up and timing a script;
  • Cross referencing breakdowns with a shooting schedule
  • Shot descriptions; shot lists; film grammar and conventions
  • Single camera filming
  • Using a storyboard

Sarah Hayward joined the Guild in 2009 and has been on the Board since 2010. She is an experienced Film and Television Script Supervisor, who has worked in the UK and abroad on Feature Film and Television Productions, most recently on Our Man from Jersey, shooting in London and at Shepperton. She is a trained Assessor for the Level 4 UAL Diploma in Script Supervision and has run courses in Script Supervising for CMS, GBCT, LAMDA, UCA Farnham and the NFTS.
