About the event
The International Motor Film Awards are a high-profile showcase of talent and the world’s most prestigious event for the automotive film and television industry. The awards celebrate the craft behind the film industry’s biggest stunts, television’s best car commercials and the world’s top automotive documentaries and short films.
The awards night draws creatives and petrolheads alike, as well as celebrities and HNWI from the film and motor industries. Winners in previous years include Baby Driver, Ford v Ferrari, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, The Grand Tour, No Time to Die and commercials from major car manufacturers. Judging the winners is a jury composed of notable industry professionals and personalities such as Ben Collins (better known as The Stig), Academy Award winning stunt coordinator Vic Armstrong and television legend and race driver Tiff Needell.
For its 11th year the Motor Film Awards is back at the prestigious venue at Alexandra Palace in London to offer a completely immersive experience of both the Awards and Trade Expo. The awards encompass a wide range of categories, celebrating every facet of the film industry - from the best in car action of this year’s feature films to motorsport documentaries, car commercials, and student and independent films.
This year Best Drama Feature category includes Michael Mann’s Ferrari, Mad Max: Furiosa, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Tom Cruise’s latest with jaw-dropping stunts and high-speed chases that redefine action cinema and The Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling’s blending humor with intense car stunts.
The commercial category features top commercials from Porsche, Chevrolet, Kia, Aston Martin, Acura, Rivian, Akrapovič, Hyundai, Zenvo and CFMoto, while the action-packed documentary categories offer an insider’s view of racing culture worldwide. Notable documentary nominations include coverage of F1, the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, the GT4 Series, 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Indianapolis 500—the world’s largest sporting event—the Tour de France Automobile, and many more.
The Motor Film Awards also includes a daytime Trade Expo, expertly organised in partnership with SCS Exhibitions, leveraging over 25 years of experience in global film and broadcast events. This collaboration brings a premier platform for traders to showcase their latest equipment to industry professionals and the public alike.
