The price of Kelly Calculators is due to increase in April (there has not been an increase in cost since 2003). If you are sensible, you'll buy yours now at the current list price of under £30 - less if you're a GBCT Member!
And the Nominations are...
The Visual Effects Society has, for the fourth year running, nominated the work of GBCT Member, NIGEL STONE with Jose Granell, for an award in their Outstanding Models or Miniatures in a Motion Picture category. This year the film referred to is HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX - Hogwarts School.
The Awards Ceremony takes place on 10th February in Los Angeles (same day as the BAFTAs here). Further information is available on their website: www.visualeffects.com Fingers, toes and eyes all crossed for Nigel and Jose.
Lifetime achievement award
The Society of Camera Operators will present its Lifetime Achievement Award to GBCT Member JOE DUNTON on 16th February at the Leonard Goldenson Theatre, Los Angeles. Congratulations Joe. This is more than well deserved. We are all delighted for you.
