“We have listened to our customer requests for a Manfrotto/Ace PL501 compatible base plate for CompassX. Known as the Versa Base plate and distinguishable by its orange colour, Miller introduces the new sideloading baseplate Cat#1278 to fit all CompassX models. The 1278 comes with a camera plate having a sliding range of 105mm. While the 1278 accepts PL501 camera plates made by other manufacturers, the sliding range may vary depending on the brands."
